This Statement of Compliance reflects Peakful's commitment to full legal and ethical transparency in how we operate our online store, membership programme, and fulfilment processes. Peakful actively maintains compliance with all applicable consumer protection regulations, subscription transparency requirements, advertising standards, and platform policies. We publish this document publicly so that our customers, platforms, regulators, and partners can review exactly how we operate and hold us accountable.


1. About Peakful

Peakful (peakful.co) is a stainless steel jewellery brand offering a curated collection of premium, tarnish-resistant pieces designed to last a lifetime. We serve customers primarily in the United Kingdom, Australia, United States, and Canada.

We operate via Shopify and run an optional paid membership programme called Peakful+, which provides members with exclusive discounts and early access to new collections. Membership is entirely voluntary and separate from any standard purchase.

2. Voluntary Opt-In — Customer Choice

Peakful does not enrol customers into any subscription or membership without explicit, affirmative consent. Our Peakful+ membership is presented as an optional add-on — never as a default selection or pre-ticked box.

Customers are only enrolled in Peakful+ when they actively click to join from a dedicated membership offer page or post-purchase upsell, read and acknowledge the recurring billing terms displayed at the point of sign-up, and complete a separate confirmation step for the membership specifically.

Standard product purchases at Peakful.co do not result in any subscription charge. A customer buying a bracelet or necklace is never automatically added to a recurring billing programme. The membership sign-up page clearly states the billing frequency, the price, and the cancellation process before any payment is taken.

3. Pre-Purchase Disclosure Checkpoints

Peakful maintains multiple layers of pre-purchase disclosure across the customer journey to ensure full informed consent before any payment is taken.

Product Page — Membership Offer Visibility: If a membership offer is displayed on or near a product page, it is clearly labelled as an optional add-on. The price, billing cycle, and cancellation terms are visible without requiring the customer to click further.

Product Page — Display Price Transparency: The price shown on each product listing reflects the actual price the customer pays. Any membership discount is shown as a comparison, not the default displayed price, to avoid misleading non-members.

Cart Page — Display Price Transparency: All items in the cart are shown at their correct, final prices. No membership pricing is applied without the customer having explicitly joined Peakful+.

Cart Break-Down — Shipping and Bonus Disclosure: Any free shipping thresholds, promotional bonuses, or add-ons included in an order are clearly itemised in the cart summary. The customer can see exactly what they are paying for before proceeding to checkout.

Cart Break-Down — Peakful+ Membership Line Item: If a customer has added a Peakful+ membership to their order, it appears as a distinct, separately-labelled line item in the cart with its own price. It is never bundled silently into a product price.

Checkout Page — Final Disclosure: Before the customer submits payment, the checkout page displays all items being purchased (including any membership), the total charge being applied today, and for membership purchases: the recurring billing amount, billing date, and a statement that the membership will renew automatically unless cancelled, along with a link to the full cancellation policy.

At no point is a recurring membership charge buried in fine print, hidden within a product bundle, or presented in a way designed to mislead.


4. Post-Purchase Disclosure and Membership Confirmation

Immediately following any purchase that includes a Peakful+ membership, the customer receives an order confirmation email with a dedicated section highlighting the membership, the next billing date, and how to cancel, as well as a separate membership welcome email confirming the exact billing terms, renewal date, and a cancellation link.

These emails are sent within minutes of purchase and are retained in the customer's email history as a permanent record of what they agreed to. The membership billing terms are restated clearly in plain English, not legalese.

A summary of the customer's Peakful+ membership — including their next billing date, current benefits, and cancellation option — is also accessible via their account page at peakful.co/account.


5. Post-Purchase Transparency — What to Expect After You Purchase

Order Fulfilment: Standard jewellery orders are dispatched within 2–5 business days. Customers receive tracking information by email once their order has shipped. Estimated delivery windows are displayed on product pages and at checkout.

Membership Billing: Peakful+ members are billed on a recurring basis as agreed at sign-up. Billing occurs on the same date each period. Customers receive a reminder email before each renewal, giving them time to cancel if they choose.

Membership Benefits: Peakful+ members receive their agreed discount automatically applied at checkout when logged into their account. No coupon codes are required. Benefits are active from the moment membership is confirmed.

Renewal Reminders: Peakful sends renewal reminder emails no less than 3 days before any membership charge is processed, giving customers a clear opportunity to cancel before being billed for another period.

6. Cancellation — Ease of Access

Peakful is committed to making cancellation simple, frictionless, and accessible.

Via Account: Log into your account at peakful.co/account and navigate to "Membership" to cancel with one click. Via Email: Email support@peakful.co with the subject line "Cancel Membership" — we will process your cancellation within 1 business day. Via Chat: Use the live chat on our website during business hours for immediate assistance.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No further charges are applied after cancellation. Peakful does not charge cancellation fees.

Immediately after cancellation, customers receive a confirmation email within minutes confirming the membership has been cancelled and no further charges will be taken.

Refunds: If a customer is charged after having already cancelled, or if a billing error occurs, Peakful will issue a full refund without requiring the customer to escalate. Email support@peakful.co.

7. Merchant Compliance Declaration

Peakful operates in full compliance with applicable consumer protection and advertising regulations across our primary markets.

United Kingdom: Our practices are designed to comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and FCA guidance on recurring payment practices. We do not use continuous payment authority (CPA) in ways that exploit customers or obscure billing terms.

United States: Our practices are designed to comply with the FTC's Negative Option Rule (updated 2023) and applicable state automatic renewal laws including California's Auto-Renewal Law (ARL).

Australia: Our practices are designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, including prohibitions on misleading conduct, unfair contract terms, and requirements for clear subscription disclosures.

Canada: Our practices are designed to comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable provincial consumer protection legislation regarding automatic renewals and negative option billing.

Peakful does not engage in dark patterns designed to confuse customers into unintended purchases, pre-ticked boxes or default enrolment into paid programmes, burying recurring billing terms in small print, charging customers without clear prior consent, making cancellation difficult or time-consuming, or retaliatory customer service toward those who cancel or request refunds.

Our advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) complies with Meta's Advertising Policies and the ASA (UK), ACCC (Australia), and FTC (US) requirements for transparent advertising. Any promotional pricing displayed in ads reflects genuine savings based on our publicly available full retail prices. We do not inflate original prices to manufacture artificial discounts.


8. Order Tracking, Fulfilment Transparency and Shipping Policy Compliance

All jewellery orders are shipped via tracked delivery. Every customer receives a tracking number by email once their order is dispatched. Orders are processed and dispatched within 2–5 business days. Free shipping thresholds are clearly stated and not subject to undisclosed conditions. International orders are flagged with any applicable import duty or customs notice at checkout.

Customers are notified by email if any item in their order is out of stock or subject to delay, and are offered a replacement or full refund at their discretion.

These pages are never gated, never require login to view, and are kept current. We update our policies when our practices change and date-stamp all updates.


10. Subscription Policy and Cancellations

Peakful's full Peakful+ Membership Terms — including pricing, billing cycles, renewal terms, benefits, and the complete cancellation process — are publicly available at peakful.co/pages/membership.

The membership programme never changes its billing terms retroactively without advance notice. If we update membership pricing or terms, existing members are notified by email no less than 14 days before any change takes effect, with an option to cancel before the new terms apply.

Peakful does not use retention dark patterns in the cancellation flow. When a customer initiates cancellation, they are taken directly to a confirmation step. We may present a single optional retention offer, but the cancellation option remains clearly and immediately available at all times.

Our support team is authorised to handle all cancellation requests, billing disputes, refund requests, and product complaints without escalation delays. Customers who raise billing disputes directly with their bank are not penalised or blacklisted.


12. Shopify Platform Compliance

Peakful operates exclusively on Shopify and complies fully with Shopify's Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Merchant Guidelines. We use only Shopify-approved subscription apps for recurring billing, do not modify checkout flows in ways that circumvent Shopify's consumer protection features, and comply with Shopify's requirements for transparent pricing display including tax-inclusive pricing where required by law.


13. Consumer Protection Compliance

The Negative Option Marketing Rule (FTC, US): All enrolments in Peakful+ require unambiguous affirmative consent. No negative option or free-trial-into-paid-subscription mechanic is used without the customer being clearly informed of post-trial billing before providing payment details.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK): UK customers are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period on digital subscription purchases. Peakful honours this right in full.

The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 (UK): All material information about products, pricing, merchant identity, and contact details is clearly provided before purchase.

Australian Consumer Law — Unfair Contract Terms: Peakful's membership terms do not include unfair terms as defined under Australian Consumer Law. Cancellation is not subject to unreasonable conditions.


14. Fulfilment Compliance

Peakful sources all jewellery from vetted manufacturers meeting our quality and ethical standards. All products are accurately described with genuine product photography and material specifications.

We do not misrepresent product materials, falsify customer reviews or ratings, fabricate scarcity or urgency cues (fake countdown timers or false low-stock alerts), or ship substitute products without customer consent.

Any item that fails to meet satisfactory quality standards will be replaced or refunded at no cost to the customer.
